Issues of industrial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia were discussed by Asset Issekeshev and Denis Manturov

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the RK, Asset Issekeshev met with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, as part of his official visit to Moscow. The two sides discussed a wide variety of issues related to the two countries' cooperation.

Namely, extension of industrial cooperation between the two nations. Furthermore, officials discussed current status of joint projects. Among them are two projects that are included in the republican Industrialization Map, with construction scheduled to start 2013 Q4.

First project — joint project of AVTOVAZ JSC, AZIA AUTO JSC and NK SPK ERTIS on construction of a full-cycle production facility in East Kazakhstan province, included in the Industrialization Map. As per the agreement, by year 2014 the new production premises in Ust-Kamenogorsk will have the capacity to weld, paint and assemble components and automobiles at a rate of 60 units per year (in the first stage).

Second project — a mineral fertilizer manufacturing facility in Zhambyl province to be established by the EuroKhim company. This project will enable the country to product some 1 million tons of mineral fertilizers a year.

According to the chief executive of EuroKhim MKhK OAO, the company will commence the construction in the nearest future.
