In Kazakhstan the exploration has been started with large foreign investors

Today, in the Service of the Central Communications under the President, a press conference was held on the topic "The status and the prospects of development of the geological industry of Kazakhstan", during which the Chairman of the Committee Geology and Subsoil Use of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurabaev Bazarbai Kanaevich, the Chairman of the Board of the Joint Stock Company (JSC) "Kazgeologiya" Nurzhanov Galim Zhumabaevich and the Australian investor, the Manager of «Iluka Resources of Kazakhstan", Mrs. Alison Morley.
The Chairman of the Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Nurabaev Bazarbai Kanaevich, during the press conference at the Service of the Central Communications, informed that under the geological exploration program for the years 2015-2019, this year the exploration of solid minerals is held at 42 sites with a total area of 135 thousand sq.km to the amount over $ 6 billion tenge. Overall, in 2015 it is provided 11 billion tenge for geological exploration and prospecting.
By the end of the year the work on the creation of an electronic filing of geological reports will be finished, that will provide an opportunity to work remotely with the reference information about all the geological studies in Kazakhstan.
In December this year in Brazil they will discuss the entry of Kazakhstan into the family of the CRIRSCO (the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards), the membership in which will mean the international recognition of Kazakh standards of public accountability and enhancing of the competitiveness of the mineral resource sector for international and domestic investment.
The Chairman of the Board of the Joint Stock Company "Kazgeologiya" Galim Nurzhanov reported that the exploration had been started together with the Australian-British concern «RioTinto», the South Korean national company «Korea Resources Corporation», the Australian company «Iluka Resources Limited» and the German investment fund «Ulmus Fund». Also, together with the concern «Rio Tinto» they implement the program of transfer of new technologies and the learning advanced techniques of about 60 experts of the Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use and the JSC "Kazgeologiya." In addition, 16 Kazakhstan specialists will be trained at the Australian company «Iluka Resources Limited», where they will master the technology of exploration of placer deposits.
